Troubleshooting Guide for X13:

Check Before Returning Your Motor

Before returning your motor and waiting for a replacement, please take a moment to review these troubleshooting tips. By following these steps, you could save both time and money:

Motor is Running Too Slow, Too Fast, or Lacks Airflow

This is often caused by not using an active tap. Check the module’s plug for a sticker labeled 1-5 above the plug. If there’s an “A” above the number, it indicates an active tap. Ensure that the energized wires (for both cooling and heating) are connected to the active tabs. You can watch our tech support video for a detailed walkthrough.

Motor is Running in the Wrong Direction

The motor's rotation might be incorrect. Some motors are multi-directional and can spin either way, depending on the unit. Even if the model numbers match, the required rotation can vary by unit. Follow the instructions in our video to adjust the motor's rotation.Note: Removing the void warranty labels to adjust polarity will not affect your warranty, IF we have authorized you to do so. Simply call us for this at (813) 440-8108 (Mo-Sa, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST)

Motor is Pulsating During Operation or Never Turned

This indicates that the motor isn’t fully installed. Review our video tutorial on proper installation of the X13 motor to ensure it's securely in place.

Cool / Heat is Not Functioning

This usually happens when the active heating wire is connected to the wrong tab. Watch our video to confirm you’re using the correct active tab for the heating wire.

Motor Has Stopped Working or Never Turned On

Check that the motor is receiving both high and low voltage. You can view our instructional video on how to verify and fix this issue. If the motor is powered correctly and still not functioning, please contact us for warranty support at (813) 440-8108 (Mo-Sa, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST)
